Another Team Member who Cares!
If you haven't met Ross Potts, you have seen his image on the
Ima Georgia Sample license that is on the CSC kiosks! He is a
member of the Program Management Office (PMO) and
contributes to most projects and events that DDS manages.
He also is very involved in his community. His most recent
adventure was with the Covington Police Department and the
Police Who Care project. They spread a lot of sunshine for 33
children with a Back to School version of Shop With a Cop. The
event took place on Tuesday afternoon, July 26th at Kohl’s in
Conyers and included a Back to School shopping experience with
each child receiving a $200 gift card to use while shopping for
school clothing with a Cop or other helper. The event was
coordinated with Alcovy CASA, Inc. and provided school clothes,
book bags, school supplies, Kona Ice, and a one-on-one positive
experience with public safety teams. Ross, who serves with the
Covington Police Department Citizens Academy Executive Board,
Dwahn Turner, Ruth Norman and Ross Potts – all serving
participated in the event and said it was a wonderful
on the CPD Citizens Academy Executive Board
experience. Ross was partnered with a rising 8th grader,
Nicholas, who was there with his four brothers to help obtain
school clothing. Nicholas’ main interest was in basketball shoes
and sporty attire. Ross said that all of the children were very
well behaved and so polite and thankful, making it an even
better experience to be a part of. Along with the CPD, other
participants included the Covington Fire Department, Covington-
Newton 9-1-1, and City of Covington team members.
Thank you, Ross, for Caring!
