Methodology
This concept-level estimate establishes
a probable construction cost for all 18 components illustrated in this Punch List.
• Quantities are based on direct field observations
• Repair areas of each brick sidewalk and crosswalk are based on visual inspections of each individual deficient section
• Square footage of each area has been over- sized (x2) to assure that enough repair area has been quantified
• The individual components are further escalated with a 50% estimating contingency at the bottom of the estimate
• Based on the quantities, unit prices, and factors of safety used, Davis Square can be significantly improved for under $750,000
