the Landscaper - Gabions

A gabion in the context of landscaping is usually a strong wire cage
filled with rocks. It can be used to prevent erosion, as a wall or other
hard landscaping feature or used as a decorative element in the garden.

Gabions can be filled with alternating colours of rock, or different textures of rock,
as in rough granite, large pebbles and smaller pebbles in various hues to create an
aesthetic element. They make great benches, walls, vertical gardens, and given the
plentiful rock resource we have, the main cost is the wire needed to create it.
