- the lush rockery
While a rockery can feature dry plants like Lithops, Echeverias and all
other manner of succulents, in a shaded place it is also the perfect
environment for your more lush ferns, like dainty Maidenshair ferns or Pteris
species, Peperomias, Bromeliads, Anthuriums, Spathiphyllums and the
gorgeous coloured leaves of Caladiums, Philodendrons, and Alocasias.
Make sure you create your rockery in a protected area, where it doesn’t get direct
sunlight. It will need regular light watering to increase the humidity which some
of these plants need.
Allow enough space for the larger ferns and add in a water feature if you have the
space as this will add to the humidity and look lovely in a rockery. This can be an
area where you plant those species you love which do need extra care and
attention - the upside is, that they’re all in one place, and will end up looking
spectacular. S.C (pics Pixabay)
