.Vines like Virginia creeper or
Ficus pumila that easily climb walls

                                            .Retaining walls with niches for
plants to grow in. This is also a
                                            useful roadside technique to retain
soil on slopes - as seen at Phakalane
Golf Estate - which is planted with

                                            Carpobrotus. By planting in the
                                            niches you limit erosion.

                                            .Wall blocks or decorative pavers
used to make a vertical wall can
                                            also be filled with plants.

                                            .Trellis, lattice or gabion to
                                            support climbers or vines like

                                            Wisteria that might need some
                                            support

& Lastly - ledges added to walls on
                                            which to place pot plants.
