       PERFORMING
ART PHOTOGRAPHER
From landscape to portrait and now live music photogra- phy, your talents are very well rounded. What drove you to doing live music photography?
It’s been a childhood dream since I got deep into music at the age of ten. My family and I moved around a few times, so music was always there when making friends was hard. Discovering new music while growing up really sparked an interest to be a part of the industry in one way or another.
Who is the most famous person/band you shot and how was that experience for you?
A lot of the musicians I shot are famous in my eyes or have a rather large following. I like to stick to the alternative/rock genre since it’s what I relate to most. I have caught some awesome shots of August Burns Red, 3OH!3, Of Mice & Men, Emarosa, Nothing More, Real Friends, and Tilian Pear- son for examples. Before COVID hit, I had a few internation- ally-known artists and small tours lined up, so hopefully 2021 will be the year for that.
What show would you say was the most impactful concert that you shot at?
The Vans Warped Tour will always be on the top of my list of events shot. I had been attending and helping with this event since I was 12, and being able to eventually attend it as a photographer was really cool. It introduced me to a lot of amazing opportunities and connections.
Fun question! What band/person is the dream to shoot? What tour/festival is your dream to shoot and why?
The list could go on for miles! But if I had to choose, I would absolutely love to capture Halsey or Miley Cyrus. They
both put on a must-see live performance. I am also slightly obsessed with their music. I really would like to do Rolling Loud in Miami as well, since I haven’t been able to shoot many rappers. Unfortunately, with the pandemic this year, it put a hold on a lot of big shows and festivals for myself and other photographers.
