My
Journey
Hi, my name is Carl Johnson. I started in the music industry 11 years ago. I was blessed to know the
music business aspect rather quickly. I was truly blessed to have picked up other epic artists in the
music business. I've learned many lessons along the journey, and now I'm blessed with a crew of
talented artists on my roster. I love dealing with people. I consider myself a people person. There is
no one I can't get along with and work with if it benefits the person I'm working with at perfecting
their craft. It takes a village to make an artist grow in their perspective lane, and I hope that I have
helped a few artists along the way with a bit of my knowledge as they went along. I love music. I
grew up in music. It was my getaway from hard times. It was there through the first of my life
situations and for the happiest moments. It was a no-brainer to do what I love to do. There is a
certain kind of emotional freedom when you can pursue your dreams in your lifetime. The growth
and longevity of my endeavors have been a testament to my never giving up or refusing to stop
grinding and situations in this business. You deal with many personalities, heartbreaks, rumors,
drama, egotistical attitudes, and all the tedious things that come with this crazy music business.
You must have a calm demeanor about yourself to do this. And I have that in spades. I love
networking and connecting the dots. It is fun for me and not a chore; it's a lifestyle. I'm a person
who likes being behind the scenes and letting the artist shine. It is funny because people who first
meet me think of a bodyguard or security. It works for me because without knowing it, artists talk
about their managers and the business with me, which turns into great information that is helpful
to me and sometimes my artist. I appreciate the people whom I have built relationships with along
the way of my musical journey. I also look forward to all the new ones I will create. I look at every
day as if it is only the beginning. Significant changes will be coming, and I am excited and looking
forward to them. I've worked with various artists, from booking to doing features with my current
artists on my roster to helping artists outside my label on their road to stardom. I also enjoy helping
my colleagues with their events and ensuring things go smoothly at the events or shows. I have
positively impacted the local music scene. I have had the pleasure of working with artists that
significantly influenced the international music scene. My management label has produced some
very successful artists, and I will continue to assist my current artists in doing the same. I am
blessed to have my career choose me instead of me choosing it. I'm blessed to have worked with
some models as well as industry artists signed to my label as well as just assisted artist already in
the industry and up-and-comers like Baby Bash, John Hart, Raven Justice, DLo, Priceless, Da Rock,
Show, Banga, RBL, Sneak, Lil Yase (RIP), Kafani, Baeza, and Brittanya. Most of my work with these
artists has been in booking shows and features, and some just work on industry projects. The
bottom line is that this is not just a job for me; it is most definitely a lifestyle.
