The input slots on both the input area and the
transfer area of the Tissue-Tek SmartConnect have
a dedicated shape, which not only allows the lab
technicians to load the magazines in a specific
way, but also ensures that the magazines will be
closed securely.
Sample tracking
The Tissue-Tek SmartConnect has a QR-code
scanner. That can be linked to the LIS, allowing
the lab to know precisely if the tissue is in the
processing or embedding stage. Knowing where
the tissue is, means knowing it is safe.
