Kebaya worn by Malay women. There are two theories
about the origin of the kebaya. Some believe the word
'Kebaya' is derived from the Arabic word Habaya which
means long dress that have slits on the front while the
other says the clothes were brought by the Portuguese
in Malacca, that's why the Kebaya have been in use for a
long time in Malacca not only by Malay women but also
by a Peranakan Chinese woman (Baba Nyonya) with
little difference in cut and style of wearing it.
