A is for ALMIGHTY God, who sent his Son to be nailed upon the cruel cross to die in AGONY
B is for the BLOOD he shed and BLESSINGS he BESTOWS C is for CHRIST of CALVARY, our COMFORT here below. D is for DISCIPLES; with tears they watched him DIE.
E is for EVERYONE he suffered for on that EASTER DAY.
F for FATHER and FORGIVENESS and those wounded FEET. G GOD’S GOODNESS to us, GIFTS of love so very GREAT. H is for the HEART of Jesus, HIS HELPFUL HEALING HANDS. I is for INJUSTICE, as before the courts he stands.
J of course for JESUS and the JOY he gives.
K our KING of glory. He is not dead - he lives!
L is for our LIVING LORD and his wondrous LOVE.
M such MERCY for MANKIND sent from Heaven above.
N those NAILPRINTS in his hands NEVER raised to strike.
O OPPRESSED but yet OMNIPOTENT, the victor in the fight.
P for PRAYER which brings us PEACE and PARDON.
Q for the QUANTITY of love and QUIETNESS he brings.
R for RESURRECTION, RAIMENT torn and RISEN Christ.
S for SOLDIERS, SORROW, SAVIOUR, SHEPHERD, SACRIFICE.
T the THORNS that pierced his brow, when TORTURED on the TREE. U that UGLY cross was beautified in death on Calvary
V is for the VOICE of Jesus, ‘Forgive them Lord’, he cried
W tells of WONDER, WOUNDS -we WORSHIP him who died.
X is for XMAS - by this word wrongly spelt, XMAS is Christmas with
Christ left out.
Y is for YIELDING. Our sins he’s forgiven.
Z be ZEALOUS for Jesus - we’ll meet him in Zion.
The Easter story each year we unfold. We’ll praise him forever in this city of gold
