Husband and wife duo, Bryn and Menna Jones, have never been shy of diversification or exploring new ideas for their North Wales business. Silver Birch Golf Club first came into being in 1995 after a conversation at the local pub when Bryn was looking for ways to diversify their agricultural land.
Golf was growing in popularity, and the conversation soon turned to the lack of opportunities locally for people who were new to the game or didn’t want to join and commit to a club membership. That night, Silver Birch pay and play golf club was born.
Since 1995 Silver Birch Golf Club has grown from a 9 hole pay and play golf course to a full 18-hole course, offering a scenic and challenging game for all to enjoy. In January 2015 Bryn and Menna saw a gap in the market as they searched for new activities to add to their North Wales site. Within 3 months, Footgolf was introduced to Silver Birch.
As well as locals and visitors from across North Wales, Bryn and Menna regularly welcome footgolfers from Cheshire, Liverpool and Manchester to Silver Birch. The footgolf course has also proven popular with stag dos and kids’ parties as well as hosting the Welsh Footgolf Open from 2016-2021.
