PROJECT 911- PART 2
ENGINE ASSEMBLY
SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED FOR A 1970 911T
And so it continues! If for some reason you missed part one of this article
you can find it on the KCRPCA website. It is in the Mar-Apr 2021 edition. He is a quick link: https:// online.flipbuilder.com/hdka/hceu/
First a quick recap. I bought a 1970 911T, or should I say, I bought a bunch of boxes that
day trips down to Tulsa and back. It keeps me on task during the pandemic, as I can work from about anywhere at the time. My days fly by so quickly. I spend an hour working, then and hour on the 911T, then a little work, then back to the 911T and the day is done.
This build is not a full documentation of every nut and bold going back on the car, but I do have a couple of quick shots showing the rebuild process on the engine – wow, there are a lot of parts to account (and pay) for!
MEMBER
BOB when assembled should be a CHARLESWORTH 911T. I can’t tell if rebuilding this

911T is a curse or an effort of pure determination – I chose the latter.
I had the car and all of its
boxes hauled down to Tulsa,
OK, where I own a building
that Charlesworth Performance resides (run by my older brother, Tom). It is a pure Porsche shop. Kind of like heaven; think of it as a Karl’s RennsportKC, but just south a bit.
I seem to be spending lots of 2
YEARS
It is amazing how when you are in the heat of a build everything seems to take forever. Then before you know it, actually several MONTHS later, the motor is ready to be placed back in the engine bay. Wow, how long has

it actually been out? I don’t even remember.
