The nice touches are in the details. Do you like the paint on the fan matching the car’s original color? I’ve always liked this look.
The 911T ended up needing to get all new oil hoses, updated the chain tensioners to oil fed, QSC jugs and pistons, carb manifold, Sachs clutch/plate/flywheel,
etc. So yes, my pocket book got lighter again. Still, the block was great, transmission solid and it’s a numbers matching vehicle all around!
Porsches are marvels of engineering. The thought process on how all the elements go together is amazing. And thanks to that good German engineering and my talented brother, just like that (literally, 15 minutes), motor and car become one again.
We had to make some torsion bar adjustments to get it level, but it looks about right to me!
Next steps: Finish up the wiring. While it’s all laid out, it’s not buttoned up. Then, install the
gas tank, hook up new hoses, and install the seats. The seats have already been done by K&H Euro upholstery and MidAmerica Auto Interiors in OP, KS. There is still a lot to do. More to come, but getting the back glass in may be the next “challenge”.
Even my family has been encouraging me on this thing – got me a little inspiration
