pleasure of giving back to the club and the friendship of our membership for my service on the executive team of the Club. Therefore, I was completely surprised at the 2016 Changing of the Guard dinner when Richard Seltzer and my name were called to be presented a gift certi cate in appreciation for our service to the Club for the Porsche Experience by the Club’s long time major sponsor; Aristocrat Motors. Robert Hellwig, Aristocrat Motors Marketing Manager explained to us that the certi cates were for the complete half day program at the Porsche Experience including a $100 credit in the famous 356 Café located in the Porsche North America Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia and had to be used by June 30, 2016.

very popular, so reservations have to be made quite a bit in advance and Richard and his ancé Regina had the audacity to plan a late spring wedding followed by a multi week trip to the Mediterranean. In the end, we were able to work out a schedule for the second week of June. So our plans were made to y east, spend a few days with Pop Pop, then take him with us to Atlanta.
When it comes to Porsches, I am a true traditionalist. My rst Porsche was a 1991 965, and I have put more than 20,000 track miles on my 1982 930 track car since 2008. In 2011, I had the opportunity to buy a 2002 996 Twin Turbo X50 as a street car. As you can see, I am a turbo kind of guy, so I opted to spend the $100 to upgrade my Porsche Experience to a turbo, meaning that I would be spending my time there in a new 991 Turbo.
