a 996 GT3, selected the GT3 option for his experience, so Richard and I had the pleasure sampling more than $300K worth of Porsche’s  nest.
Arriving at the PCA NA Headquarters, the modern building looks just like it should and the reception and sign up process is Porsche friendly and ef cient. Richard and Regina showed up with his GT3 on a trailer behind the Cayenne, which presented no problem for the staff at the building. We had a few minutes before our session, so we took in a bit of the really cool museum of Porsche history that is part of the HQ building.
Finally, it was time to go. There were about 12 other people in our group with a very wide range of driving experience. Our instructors came out and we had a chance to get to know each other. My instructor, Patrick Wilmot, is a full time
racer and part time Porsche Experience instructor (can you say “Dream Job”) who had just returned from a National Mini Series race at Road America. When he learned about my track experience, he said, “we are going to have some fun!” .
The car I am assigned is a midnight blue 2016 991 Turbo with 986 miles on it. List price $172,456.34, I am glad that our Aristocrat certi cate included the low deductible insurance endorsement. Patrick spent a few minutes explaining the controls and was pleased that I knew how to set up the seat for proper high speed driving and we are off.
The Porsche Experience Center facility is quite the deal. A 1.8 mile road course with high speed sweepers, tight hairpins and a twisty elevation change section with Armco close on both sides; a full size professional wet skid pad; a slalom
