One way I do that is to attend our Happy Hour events. We have two each year. The first one was in February at the Turn Two Lounge in the Hollywood Casino. This summer’s Happy Hour was right near my Farmers Insurance office in Shawnee; Johnny’s Bar & Grill.
to open up at 6:00 AM, so when the working man ended his night shift, he had someplace to go to get a beer. For college kids, it became a challenge to stay up all night and be first in line when the bar opened. Don’t ask how I know this.
Those days are long past. Johnny’s now has several locations in Kansas City and is the perfect place to hang out at after work, which is just why we were there!
Close to 20 club members came and went, enjoying a nice selection of drinks and even a cigar or two on the back patio. The weather was perfect. We watched the sun set while telling stories of driving our cars.
Speaking of that, be sure to sign up for our next autocross! I’d love to see you.
