The KCRPCA is made up of a wonderful and diverse group of club members. We come from all walks of life and backgrounds. As Membership Chair, I always enjoy learning a little bit about everyone. In this month’s edition of the Der Sportwagen, I would like to introduce this month’s feature: very special club member John Sherard.

All of my family is from this general area (Johnson County, Kansas). I live with my wife, Sarah, and my son, Luke, who is a high school senior. My oldest son, Tom, is a mechanical engineer living in Independence, MO.

I was born in Kansas City, MO. and moved to Roeland Park, KS. at age 5. I went on to KU in Lawrence, KS for college and back to Kansas City, KS. for medical school and residency. Next was to Emporia, KS. for 4 years and in 1994, I moved
to Overland Park, KS. where I currently live.
and we figured out we were distant cousins (no kidding).
