transmission obtained in 2006 after the death of my best friend, Mark. I had wanted a Porsche since my high school days in the mid 1970’s. The death of my friend was the impetus for me acquiring the Porsche. I found it at a Porsche dealer in Springfield, MO. While owning this car, I had daydreamed of moving up to a more sporting model of the 911 or possibly a cabriolet. I had never owned a convertible and decided I should experience owning one at least once in my life. Meanwhile,
white with a red top and red interior with a PDK transmission. A test drive confirmed I would be a happy camper with that car and within minutes my 2003 midnight blue 911 was swapped for the cabriolet. My son Luke and I spent most of that weekend driving and enjoying the “new” Porsche with the top down. Owning a cabriolet is still a joy.

I enjoyed the 2003 911 enough that I never diligently pursued a newer or more sporting or cabriolet version of the 911, but did loosely keep an eye out for one.
