In this visit, Dave would ask you to hold out your hand and then slap it! After explaining what happened, the driver would return to the track for more four wheel fun. How would I know that’s what happens? Let’s just say, ‘No comment’ and that Dave may affectionately begin to call me (or you) ‘Farmer’.

speeds at the end of the straight. My little Boxster S, at only 245hp, was knocked back hard in the prior headwinds! This noticeably changed the look and feel of approaching turn number 1. Though race conditions were basically perfectly dry, there were at least two unfortunate crashes in the Porsche club races. Neither resulted in physical injuries, yet both drivers (separate incidents) had their spirits knocked down and future bank account balances lowered.
  Let’s just say, ‘No comment’.
Some HPDE participants tested the limits of their tires, sometimes leaving the asphalt and discovering what it was like having two, maybe four tires in the grass at the same time.
Participants like these are shown the black flag and required to leave the track and visit briefly with Dave S.
