A NEW YEAR, NEW EVENTS, AND A NEW KCRPCA PRESIDENT

Ladies and Gentlemen: We, the KCRPCA Board, are honored to be stepping into our roles on behalf of the Kansas City Region. Our mission as your Board is very simple; to insure that you as members enjoy the events. We look forward to fulfilling this opportunity.
We wish to thank Mr. T. Jones and the 2020 Board for a fantastic job. We would also like to recognize Mrs. Deborah Thorne for winning Best Overall Website Award-Class IV and Mr. Stan Thorne for winning the Betty Jo Turner Award for Newsletter Excellence. Great job Deborah and Stan!
From a Region perspective, we have some great activities planned. This includes driving tours, driver’s education and many social activities. Our first event of 2021, Changing of the Guard, will be held virtually and due to electronic constraints will have a limited audience.
A tradition at COG is the “Passing of the Helmet” using a WWI German helmet. This has been signed by many of the previous Presidents. I gratefully acknowledge the contributions of our past Presidents and believe the time
has come to move the Kansas City Region forward and retire the WW1 German helmet. Porsche’s heritage is steeped in racing tradition and so the transition to a Porsche Racing Helmet represents the rich history of Porsche and the progressive future of the Kansas City Region. We
will coordinate a plan to have our previous Presidents sign the new helmet and make accommodations to transfer the balance. The
2021 Board now includes a
Social Activities Committee to further enhance your membership experience. Please stay tuned
