The Rand’s home is picturesque, with a long tree lined asphalt drive, turnaround circle and adjacent lake. The landscap- ing looks ready to be shown on the next HGTV program. It all adds up to an ex- cellent setting to park under the trees, and take it all in. The KCRPCA fam- ily did just that, with 27 Porsches of all years, types and colors in all their glory.
By 5 pm, the front yard was full of Porsches and members were enjoying large baked pretzels along with their fa- vorite German beverage. It was a great munch and stroll activity; touring the grounds, re ecting on the calm waters and discussing all things Porschephile.
The oompah-band was in full swing, when we were treated to a surprise. This year, members were taught how to polka dance lessons! Turns out, the KCRPCA is as good on the dance oor as they are on the race track!
