yard, enthusiastically waving a huge checkered flag to cheer the Porsches down the highway. Those moments always make me smile.
One person who was not waving was the policeman on highway 45. I’m sure he was there to welcome us into town. Ya, that has to be it. And, since the club was obeying the posted speed limits, he seemed content to just watch the parade of cars as we drove past.
At the end of the Fun Run,
we parked at Wabash BBQ. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the restaurant was doing take-out orders only, and with
such a large group it proved to be impossible. Several club members went just a couple of blocks away to the Dubious Claims Brewery. The air conditioning was cold, there were plenty of tables and the food and service were great. We’ll have to remember that for next year! Thanks to everyone who organized the event and to those club members who came out and made it a success.
