WI OLLENMAN FUN RUN
f you have never driven the back roads from Parkville, MO. to Saint Joseph, MO. on a fall day with all of
your Zone 10 Porsche Club friends, then you have no idea what you are missing. We gathered on a beautiful and sunny September 29th at The Station just off 45 highway and I-435. With 27 Porsches on tap, how could this be a bad day??

My father led the troops and I was the sweep. We ventured up all of the won- derful scenic back roads up through the west side of Parkville. We ventured on, continuing to the west side of Platte City, and eventually into Weston. From there, we headed north. The roads in the northwest are hidden gems. There are long sweepers followed by what can be only described as rolling-roller coasters, with enough elevation and drops to make your stomach take notice. Yes, we were on some of the nicest 2 lane switchbacks in Northwest MO.
As we ventured through Dekalb into the south side of Saint Joseph, we were greeted by seven of Saint Joe’s finest. We received the coolest police escorted trip up the boulevard system from the south edge of town to the north edge of town. You’ve got to love a police es- cort. I remember thinking, “so this is what dignitaries feel like as they are lead through bustling traffic.” They blocked off streets, intersections, and I think we even blew a stoplight! Thank you to the St. Joe Police Department!
