GNO TO MORE EVENTS
ormally as Editor of the Der a few date nights in our Porsche.
Sportwagen, I reserve this
I tell most people that I bought a Porsche and joined the PCA for myself. I am quick to follow that up by saying it has become more of an “us” thing. The PCA has become more of something that my lovely wife and I do... together.
Porsche ownership has taken us to Iowa for some track time at Race Park of the Midlands. This was Deborah’s first track experience. We have been to Arkansas and the Red River Region’s Palooza. That was a fun weekend with great roads and good friends. A PCA event even took us to Colorado. The Rocky Mountain Region had a wonderful event that included driving up Pike’s Peak, exploring ghost towns, snaking
twisty roads to Keystone, and crossing the Royal Gorge. Events here at home have included holiday dinners, numerous fun runs, endless plates of BBQ, Oktoberfest line dancing, an autocross or two and even
The latest adventure came this summer with the annual PCA Parade. Held at Tan- Tar-A in the Ozarks this year, it made a great event to check off our Porsche event bucket-list.
While at Parade, we did the Gimmick Rally, drove on a tour to Stone Hill Winery, watched some autocross, marveled at all the people and Porsches at the concours event, ate great meals at the banquets, and got to meet some really neat people from all over the United States.
Porsches are meant to be driven. For me, the destination can be chasing a sunset, the curve on a race track, or the smile on a friend’s face when we meet for dinner. It is about making memories with your Porsche.
I encourage you to get out and drive. I encourage you to come to breakfast on Saturday morning. I encourage you to
pick an event on our calendar and join us in making memories in our Porsches.
