PRESIDENT’S COLUMN My rst year is almost nished, and my heartfelt gratitude is extended to these amazing leaders within our club... AGELON “T” JONES year, even though I’m disappointed that there were events that couldn’thappen. We had a very rainy year and as a result had to reschedule or cancel several events. Among them was the driving tour to the Riverwood Winery in Weston, the Ice Cream Social in Parkville, an Autocross, the driving tour and social in St. Joe, and Oktoberfest. My heartfelt gratitude is extended to these amazing leaders within our club: Driving Tours; Mike Rehak, Social Activities; Holly Juckette, Autocross; Rudy Rodriguez, Oktoberfest; Fred and Cindy Quintana, and St Joe tour/social; Bob, Connie and Nick Wollenman. Restaurant in downtown Kansas City and at Cascone’s Italian Restaurant in North Kansas City. In April and September, we had two very well attended and managed Club Race and Drivers Education (DE) weekends at Heartland Motorsports Park in Topeka. We enjoyed driving tours to Lawrence, Excelsior Springs, Independence, Lexington and St Joseph. We performed an autocross on the pad outside the AmeriStar Casino; there was the Daytona 24 Hour watch party, Tech sessions, The Greater Kansas City International Auto Show, Happy hours, a 992 launch party, and the All German Car Show. We helped make the year a little brighter for some Kansas City children who have been affected by the homicide of a parent thru Healing Pathways. We also had wonderful meals at the Vossler, Quintana, and Wollenman family homes. And we actually had Saturday morning breakfast EVERYweekend. But more importantly, we have several new members who joined, and now we’ve formed new friendships. Be safe, enjoy the road, and each other. - T Jones Well Done KCRPCA!
