NATIONAL EXPERIENCE
PCA PARADE DRAWS MEMBERS FROM ALL OVER THE COUNTRY
PRESIDENT
PCA National has an abundance of events planned every
year with more being added all the time. Have you taken the opportunity to attend a PCA National Event?
Attending the PCA Parade in the Poconos with record attendance was a fantastic experience. The Kalahari Resort in the Pocono Mountains filled with over 1100 Porsches being driven from as far as Alaska was a site to behold. The best part of the entire event was meeting and talking to all the members about their PCA Region and their Porsche experience.
Members were greeted with a
wide variety of activities for just about every interest. Sim racing, street survival, autocross, remote control racing, driving tours, dinners, Porsche Staff discussion forums were offered only to name a few.
The Porsche Concours did not disappoint either with a wide variety
of models and a vast array of colors. A Smyrna Green 991 GT3 Touring, Club Blau PCA 60 models, a Guards Red 959, a 918, and plenty of air cooled Porsches were there; the list goes on.
Joining a discussion forum with members of the Porsche staff for a variety of topics was a fantastic way to spend a morning. Learning a little more about Paint to Sample Plus, Porsche Design, and thoughts toward the future was enlightening.
Talking to Vu Nguyen and Porsche Classic about the vision for the 996 Classic Club Coupe was fantastic. The lengths that everyone went through to make this vision possible was interesting to hear and then even better to see up close and personal. Vu finding the 996 at the back of a used car lot against a wall in less than desirable condition was just one of many great parts to the Porsche vision and resurrection. Did you
