know that this particular 996 has been fitted with a brand new GT3 engine? Yes, indeed it was. Have you noticed the double bubble roof, the duck tail or the rear window? They were all specifically built for this particular model.
To top this event off, Porsche introduced not one but two new Porsches to the world at PCA Parade. The 992 Club Coupe with rear wheel drive, turbo engine and a manual transmission. Then to take it up a notch the limited edition America was reveled. My favorite though was seeing the GT4RS in person and then getting to hear its engine being fired up. What a fantastic engine note, even at idle.
Every one of the friendly members that I visited with were excited to be there with other like-minded owners who support this wonderful brand, but also to spend time with members from near and far. Cindy and I had such great conversations that we will remember for a long time.
This event, as all well executed events, would not happen without
the wonderful volunteers. As Cindy and I volunteered, we felt the energy and thought that had been placed into every detail. The hours upon hours of coordination were very evident.
To all the volunteers, I simply can’t thank you enough. Without all of you, PCA would not be the wonderful and well organized club that it is.
The highlight of the event was the Awards Dinner. Stan and Deborah Thorne were recognized for their efforts, receiving national awards in Newsletter and Web Site respectively.

A great accomplishment and well deserved awards.
So the question is; have you ever attended a PCA National event? You might give it consideration. Next year’s PCA Parade will be in Palm Springs in June. The California car community and the dry climate coupled with many of our fantastic members will make for another great parade.
