Below, the new IPD plenum, GT3 throttle body, and silicone intake tube are installed.
Slightly differently below. This is an early 1998 Boxster with a 2.7L swap utilizing the 2.5L intake. It is cut off at the top of the picture, but this car has an aftermarket cold air intake installed, and we have insulated the box heavily to keep the heat from the engine away from the air coming into the intake.
The IPD plenum system is a little different on this one; we are using a custom setup with a 996 cable throttle body which is larger than the 2.5L.
It’s hard to see with a tape measure, but we are gaining a few mm, which is good. Otherwise, the 996 throttle body bolts right on.
The old parts removed from the car. All of this will be replaced.
The new plenum, throttle body, and intake tube are installed. This combination really wakes up the engine, as the stock early plenums had no  apper valve for diverting inside them, so it was a true T intersection which was killing the air  ow.
