don’t even see the 918 off to the side, or the variety of other fantastic Porsche’s across the hall. You now become one with the Center. Pictures everywhere, but our time has arrived.
A quick drivers’ meeting and we are set to head downstairs to the cars and instructors. I’m a bit nervous as I don’t know this “track” and really don’t know much about the cars we are about to ex- perience since I’ve never driven newer ones before. I will say, every instructor I had (one with the Boxster – mid-engine; one with the Cayenne off-road; one with the two 911’s; and  nally the one with the Panamera’s), simply were impres- sive. I think it was the consensus of the group that they had quality instructors in- terested in helping you have a good day. My experience was that they could re- ally sum up your abilities pretty quickly and let you truly experience what these
cars are capable.
The Boxster S – in Sport Mode – PDK – was an absolute wonderful machine. Say what you want about the  at-4 twin turbo, I came away wondering if this could actually be my next Porsche. The handling, nimbleness, etc. just  t my abilities. Now, on the kick plate (pur- posefully trying to spin you out) – it was a bit much to handle at anything over 20 mph. So much so, I never caught it at higher speeds. Why? The center of gravity really hugs and then when it does letgo–justhitthebrake–asyouare just a passenger at that point. In the wet circle skid pad – same issue. Could re- ally build speed, but when asked to kick it out – I never could  nd the sweet spot to keep it sideways. Others with better abilities could master this quickly. I had the same issue with the 911 C4S – all wheel made it hard for me to get side-
