We started our Friday with a tour of Atlanta’s Porsche dealer Perimeter Porsche followed by a Cinco de Mayo Mexican dinner. Muy Bueno!

have ribbed him enough because I had never seen his – so he showed me up at the next Autocross; bringing it out for us all to admire – wow – simply beautiful. Sure wish I had bought the TT in lieu of the base 993 – but I’m still very happy with what I have.
Getting back to Atlanta – perhaps the car most photographed at the dealership was the new GT3RS in Violet – sold tags waiting for pick-up. The yellow stitch- ing and striping were an interesting com- bination, but it actually worked well! The stop left us lots to dream about as we get ready for the next day!
Up and at’m early, I don’t think any- one was even close to being tardy to get to the Porsche Driving Experience. A beautiful day – hardly a cloud in the sky. Our destination is but a mere 2 miles away from the hotel and – you guessed it – several blocked off streets for runners.
What event was that? Panic set in the van as routes to the Center are limited. Ric, being the consummate driving pro- fessional, found a way to get around – even after getting out of the van to have a “visit” with a police of cer blocking traf c. In the van, we were wagering who was going to bail him out and more importantly, who was going to drive us the Center! Needless to say, Ric was cool under pressure.
The center rises up in clear view as we get closer. WOW – what a facility. And, they are getting ready to add a hotel next to the Center; making it a destina- tion event for sure. Every key model is displayed in Red as you get ready to en- ter the building. Then, when you can’t wait any longer, you enter and see two LMP1 race cars (#1 and #919) staring right at you – BAM – you have truly ar- rived.
