an enjoyable drive to the Riverwood Winery. Located just outside Weston, MO, Riverwood Winery is a great loca- tion for a fun destination drive.
The weather was perfect, cool and clear with one or two lone clouds oating by. From our starting point near the Legends shopping area, there were 2 ways to get to our destination – 1) the short way, or 2) the Jim Cummings top down in his Boxster S loooooong way.
Our leader for the day, Jim, opted for the latter. After a few announcements and wavier signing, we were ready to go. A beautiful 70-mile drive through the rolling hills of northwestern Kansas lay ahead of us.
nice to get out into the countryside, see- ing things you might never have seen be- fore. I enjoy playing the game of appear and disappear, as the cars in front of me crest a hill only to vanish into the next valley.
One long bridge, a fast right sweeper, and a fast straightaway take us to vine- yards of Riverwood. Reaching our destination after passing through some wonderful countryside, we were greeted with the perfect place to park, step back, and smile, completing our Porsche drive experience.
Riverwood Winery is located on 45 Highway just a few miles north of Weston, Missouri. We enjoyed friendly hospitality, gourmet foods, Bourbons and Scotch Whiskeys. Their wines are carefully handcrafted in small batches,
