The Kansas City Auto Show was held from March 9 thru March 12 at Bartle Hall in downtown Kansas City. As in years past, KCRPCA was invited by Aristocrat Motors to attend the event as their guests for a special time prior to the general public admittance.
Saturday, March 11, at 8:30 AM was that special time. Approximately 40 Porsche Club members and family were greeted at the Aristocrat Motors section of the show. A Continental breakfast consisting of large rolls with icing, sausage and egg burritos, coffee, orange juice and water and fruit was on hand for the event.
Several new Porsches were on hand, including a new Panamera and a Cay- man. But the star of the Porsche display was a 2017 991 Turbo S in brilliant yel- low. This is the zenith of Porschedom, and everyone stopped to admire it in all its beauty. After looking at the sticker MSRP of $212K, it was apparent that this model was the main attraction.
After talking with the Porsche faith- ful, many went off to look at the rest of the huge numbers of other vehicles in the cavernous Bartle Hall. Without the public admitted yet, it was possible to move quickly to see the remainder of displays.
Many thanks go out to Robert Hell- weg of Aristocrat Motors for the invita- tion to this excellent event, and to the sales representatives on hand to answer questions. This was a ne way to spend a Saturday morning in March.
