STAR PERFORMER
Melissa Woods – Imaging RN IV
When it comes to star performers, no one has done more for others within the team than
Melissa. As Chair of the Healthy in Imaging committee, Melissa has sought to help her imaging
colleagues find their healthier self. One conduit that Melissa has used to guide imaging staff to
wellness, has been the Healthy at Hopkins board in the breakroom. Through this tool, she has
encouraged many to participate in the Healthy at Hopkins Rewards Program, helping these
individuals strive to make their bank accounts up to $390 healthier.
Melissa strengths and contributions to Imaging go far beyond the Healthy at Hopkins image
most see. As the only Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) and only Advanced Clinical Nurse (RN
IV) in Imaging, it is only fitting that Melissa heads up the education and competency need of the
IR nurses and technologists, while also representing IR during RN competency day. The broad
breadth of knowledge required to accomplish all of these many tasks is also utilized in the policy
integration of Rigors and Angiography order sets across the Johns Hopkins enterprise.
A unique talent, Melissa is a star that shines in the background, performing the impossible
for the betterment of others. Thank you for all you do, Melissa.
