TRAVEL WAS MY GOAL
I went to Cal Maritime so I could travel the world—and I did just that! Four years at Cal Maritime propelled me into a great career in the maritime industry. I’ve spent the last 32 years ashore working in the public sector, and it continues to be a wonderful adventure. I’ve had the opportunity to advance—and to travel and to develop friendships across four continents. Every aspect of my life has been enriched by my Cal Maritime experiences, by the training I received and by the opportunities which opened up to me as a result. What a great ride it has been.

Cal Maritime is such a tight knit school that it’s easy to have a big impact on campus. And it’s not just during the four years one is in school. The people you meet at Cal Maritime are your family for life.
