Campaign investment opportunities include:
• Fully Renovated and Functional Waterfront for maintenance of the Training Ship Golden Bear and our 15 other vessels.
• Cultural Amenities to combine all the proven formative aspects of the academy with the cultural bene ts of a modern university. The campaign will enhance Rizza Auditorium and create new performance and event facilities to serve the campus community, alumni,
and the public.
• Cal Maritime Archives and Museum to preserve and display artifacts and archives of both Cal Maritime and the merchant
marine heritage of the west coast in general.
• Athletic Facilities and Campus Amenities to enrich the lives of cadet-athletes who participate in intercollegiate sports and
all cadets who use these facilities for training, tness, intramural sports, and recreation. Enhancements include waterfront
activities, spiritual center, and leadership challenge (ropes) course.
• Academic Microgrid to generate enough energy on campus to alleviate power interruptions from wild res and electric grid
capacity shortages. We will harness wind, solar, hydro-kinetic, and other green technologies to power operations at sea and ashore.
