SURVEYOR 3 SPACE PROBE
Apollo 12 astronaut Charles Conrad Jr. examined the Surveyor 3 probe on the surface of the moon on November 20, 1969. The Apollo 12 mission landed about 600 feet from the probe, which has been on the moon since 1967. The TV camera and other pieces were taken from Surveyor 3 and brought back to Earth for scientific examination.
