About Fuels

• Fuel is one of the most important resources of energy that humans depend
on to get energy.

• Cars use the chemical energy stored in the fuel, burn it in the engine and
convert the chemical energy into thermal, kinetic, light and sound
energies.

Fuel: - is any substance that produces energy when it is burned.

Uses of some different forms of fuel: -

1.Coal, natural gas and wood may be used in cooking.
2.Oil, natural gas or coal may be used in generating electricity.
3.Coal and wood may be used in warming houses.
4.Gasoline (oil) or natural gas may be used to operate all means of transportation.
