Task Physical Seizure of The Person

Torres v. Madrid, 141 S.Ct. 989 (2021).

• Where an officer intentionally applies force to a person’s body with

the intent to restrain that person, a Fourth Amendment seizure has

occurred irrespective of whether the force applied to the person’s

body accomplished a stopping of their movement.
