Over 60 participants raised $3,983
for the Friends Forever Network
and sent two young men to a spe-
cial camp in the spring of 2017 where
activities included self organization, com-
munication, self-advocacy and other skills geared to-
ward their adult life and future responsibilities.

Last year’s event began on a beautiful day at Bran-
denburg Park in Chesterfield Twp. on Anchor Bay. The
Poker Run picked up their Poker Cards in various bays,
and included a couple pit stops at Brown’s on Harsen’s

                                 Mayea Marina on Bouvier Bay.
                                 The final Poker Card was giv-
                                 en back at Brandenburg Park
                                 where a BBQ was held for the
                                 participants and others who
                                 registered in advance for the
                                 dinner.

The next annual event will be held Thursday,
August 10. The first 100 riders can register
at Dee’s Marine 586-790-9100 or email Karen
at deesmarine@aol.com. The $100 entry fee
includes a light breakfast and 3-meat BBQ
dinner. Dinner only is available for $30.
