Paprecious (Paper Crafting)
It is the first startup initiated in 2018 by a
female faculty member, Dr. Humaira Shahbaz,
a Senior Instructor at the Persian department.
Dr. Humaira is the Founder, Executive Director
of this enterprise. Her team members include
scholars and alumni of NUML. Ms. Zahra
Shabaz - student of BS Governance and Public Policy (G&PP) is the Co-Founder of
‘Paprecious’. She is the master trainer in paper recycling skills and looks after the operations
of the startup. The team collects recyclable paper, trains the artisan in paper recycling skills,
creates paper crafts for socially conscious individuals and organizations, and markets them
to empower the have-nots while improving the environment through a circular economy.
Smart Eco Stove
Smart Eco Stove provides environmentally friendly stoves; they provide support for stoves
and pallets.
Take Books (Har Qism ki Kitabein)
The startup provides books at reasonable cost to
students; the books are delivered to their delivery address. Books of all categories from
syllabus books of schools to university level are provided.
Whereas, non-syllabus books including Quran Tafseer,
Hadith, Seerat, History, Urdu Novels, English Fiction, Non-
fiction, CSS/PSC Books, Motivational Books, Psychology
Books and Urdu Translations are also provided
