The following Piece may bring a memory to some – we all So I waited and I waited getting very irritated;
sometimes try to beat the odds by doing it our own way – simply I missed my morning coffee. What a mongrel of a day.
because we think we can. Not much wrong with that thinking as
long as the plan works. Sometimes things just don’t go our way. Then I spied a traffic Cop – Oh no! He’s going to stop.
He’s writing out a ticket – “Parking here was wrong”.
Please enjoy.
I tried to explain - but my plea was all in vain.
Mechanical genius. He said “just take the ticket Sir – My day has been quite long”.
I didn’t want to cause a din - when I kicked him in the shin;
just to pull a stunt like that - I must have been insane.
by Gregory M. Dillon 1996. After I had kicked him, He said I really shit him.
he pulled out his baton and gave my skull a crack.
An hour or two later, was a tale of woe to tell.
I thought my head was splitting when I woke up in the cell.
I was hauled before a Judge and I’m sure he held a grudge
He was not very happy with the tale I had to tell.
.
At me he threw the book - all those fines – I felt quite crook.
I was such a happy person - before my car broke down.
At last they let me go but I copped another blow.
when I picked my car up from the shop.
The mechanic made me ill- when he handed me the bill.
He said “There’s something that you really ought to know.
The repair that you attended - good work – it’s still quite mended.
No petrol was your problem - that’s why your car refused to go.
Here I am just sitting – broken down along the highway;
a mechanic could have done the job: I had to do it my way.
His prices were so steep - I could do it on the cheap;
now I’m broken down and I guess I’ll have to pay.
I rang up the mechanic - he told me not to panic;
he would fetch a Tow-truck and be there right away.
