W&H OSTELL SMARTPEG ®

The Osstell IDx is a fast, noninvasive and easy-to-use system to determine
implant stability and to assess the process of osseointegration — without
jeopardizing the healing process. It provides the accurate, consistent and
objective information needed to make well-founded decisions.

The SmartPeg is attached to the implant or abutment when a measurement is
made. It is easy to mount and requires minimal space thanks to its small size.
The SmartPegs are single-use and delivered sterile in boxes of 5. SmartPegs
are custom made to fit each implant system perfectly and are produced
in over 50 different types. Please note that the selection of SmartPegs is
updated 2 to 3 times per year.

The SmartPeg is used together with the Osstell devices, which measure the
resonance frequency of a SmartPeg, when it is attached to an implant or an
abutment. It is easy to mount and requires minimal space thanks to its small
size. To avoid damage to the implant, the SmartPeg material is quite soft,
which limits the lifetime of the threads.
