Hey, it’s Christmas time—Merry Christmas! “Christmas waves a
magic wand over this world and behold, everything becomes softer
and more beautiful,” says Rachel. Anna gazes at her contentedly. She
knew it was a hard time for her family as they struggled to make their
ends meet. She dreamed of a Christmas filled with joy and happiness.
Rachel had invited Anna and her family for Christmas Eve. The table
was adorned with delectable food presented with exquisite artistry.
After relishing the delicious meal, the families gathered for casual
conversation.
Anna turned to her mother, “I wish I could get a Christmas present like
other kids.” Her mother replied, “Oh dear! Pray to God; He’ll surely find
a way for you to get through this.” She decided to lift Anna’s spirits by
recounting the story of Jesus’ birth. He was born in a humble stable
in Bethlehem. Mary, enduring great pain, resolved to give birth to her
son. “She gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling
clothes, laying him in a manger because there was no place for them
in the inn.”
“Do you know, dear, why Christmas is celebrated?” the mother inquired.
Anna replied, “It’s because Jesus was born, and we’re celebrating his
birthday, right, Mother?” “Yes, dear. Christmas is celebrated because
it commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ. It holds deep religious
significance as a time for spiritual reflection, renewal, and gratitude for
