Throughout the somewhat bumpy road of the Top 20 the Stonehill
Trophy was presented each year, always finding its way back for the
following year.

In 2002, when the competition was taken over by the Golden Retriev-
er Foundation, it was decided to commission a new trophy and the
Stonehill Trophy came back to us for the next 10 years. We were
thrilled, excited and overjoyed when in 2012 the committee reached
out to us and requested the Stonehill Trophy again be presented at the
Top 20. I think my exact words were “you have made my year.” In
2018, the Stonehill Trophy now continues as a perpetual trophy under
the care of the GRCA and the GRCA Top 20 Invitational Committee.
