i. Safety and Security Services. The Security provides safety and security to all students,
University staff and personnel and university properties. It enforces traffic rules and
regulations and maintains peace and order within the campus.

j. Social and Community Involvement Programs. The university provides programs and
opportunities designed to develop social awareness, personal internalization and meaningful
contribution to nation-building.

k. Foreign/International Student Services. The university provides assistance to address the
needs of foreign students.

l. Scholarships and Financial Assistance Services (SFAS). The University offers several
scholarship and assistance programs to deserving students. The selection of grantees is in
accordance with the policies and guidelines of the university and the sponsoring agencies.

➢ A.2. Objectives of the Students Services Program.

The Office of the Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) seeks to:

1. assist students discover their potentials in decision-making processes towards a wise
career and the development and refinement of their intrapersonal, interpersonal and
social relations;

2. help students cope with their stresses in life;

3. enhance the intellectual, cultural, and social environment of the students by providing
relevant and adequate services that respond to their varied needs;

4. empower and enhance their leadership qualities;

5. produce high credible campus paper manned by competent and responsible student
writers imbued with high sense of moral values and journalistic skills;

6. provide academic scholarships and financial assistance to achievers as well as poor but
deserving students;

7. provide continuous evaluation and assessment of the University dormitories and
private boarding houses;

8. provide enough dormitories for students (at least) on their 1 year in the University;

9. provide assistance to graduates in seeking their jobs; and

10. strengthen alumni involvement in the University affairs and development.
