First Tee – Tampa Bay
Age: 18
Years in First Tee: 4
College: Webber International University | Pre-Dentistry
What are you doing today?
Today, I am trying to excel in my academic as well as golf career; majoring in Pre-Dentistry to become an Orthodontist.
What impact did First Tee have on your life?
First Tee – Tampa Bay had a very big impact on my life. Basketball was my first love growing up, and there was never a time I didn’t have a basketball in my hand. Then I was introduced to golf by my godfather. The first day I entered the First Tee building for First Tee Team I was welcomed by kids and a staff member. I felt like I just fit in as soon as I got there.
What is your favorite memory from your First Tee – Tampa Bay experience?
My favorite memory would have to be Player’s Club. Every
day at Player’s Club was just an awesome day. We never knew what to expect when walking into the building. The bonding moments we had is just something I know we all cherish. We still keep in contact today, even to just check in on each other.
How did First Tee – Tampa Bay equip you to take on new experiences or challenges?
First Tee - Tampa Bay equipped me to take on new experiences and challenges by giving me the best week of my life. FOUR WORDS.... Congaree Global Golf Initiative. I got the chance to travel to South Carolina to meet up with 9 other kids from around the nation to attend this initiative. This initiative included SAT/College Prep, Golf 24/7, some of the best
mental and physical golf instructors, awesome people to be around and good food. I still use things I learned from the trip I to this day. That experience and those learnings would not have been possible without First Tee – Tampa Bay.
IfeltlikeIjustfitinassoon as I got there.
