First Tee – Tampa Bay
Age: 18
Years in First Tee: 8
College: Florida Gulf Coast University | PGA Management
What are you doing today?
I am a current freshman in college at Florida Gulf Coast University, majoring in the PGA Golf Management program.
What impact did First Tee have on your life?
The impact First Tee had on my life was huge. Honestly, if it wasn’t for First Tee I wouldn’t be doing what I’m doing right now. I was able to build confidence as I
grew and build my social skills. It has overall just helped me become a better person and golfer.
What is your favorite memory from your First Tee – Tampa Bay experience?
I have a lot and to be honest, all of them were my favorite but my top favorite memory has to be the Old Memorial Charity Events. I had the opportunity to be a part of it
for a few years. I just love the atmosphere and getting to play golf with people who support First Tee.
How did First Tee – Tampa Bay equip you to take on new experiences or challenges?
At a younger age, I was always scared to try new things, whether it was something small or big. New experiences
and challenges weren’t the easiest, but as I continued being a part of the program, I was able to build confidence I needed to be able to take on new experiences or challenges.
Is there a specific core value or life skill that you learned which has helped you in life?
Confidence and perseverance. They both go together
for me. I needed a strong confident mindset to
persevere when going through tough things in life.
The impact First Tee had on my life was huge.
