Education and Credentials: Bachelors in Sports and Recreation Managements and Business, Y-USA Leaders Certification
Andrew brings a wealth of day camp, education and youth development experience to the
Tampa YMCA. His early exposure to the Y began as a counselor in training at Camp Red Feather in Virgina where, in 2017, he became the full-time Program Director, providing oversight to
a 40-acre operation. In 2020 Andrew was promoted to the Youth Development Director for Chesapeake Before and After School programs, ensuring high quality programs at 17 Before and After School programs. Andrew is an avid sports fan of all collegiate and professional sports, specifically, the University of Michigan and the New Orleans Saints. When Andrew is not working, you can find him at a wellness center or on a beach.

Title: Program Director
Years of experience in childcare: 7
Education and Credentials: Bachelors in Sociology
Maurice attended Notre Dame University where he earned a degree in Sociology. Maurice has had a wonderful career working with youth, ranging in all ages, for over 7 years. Advocating for youth development, his past work experience includes supporting youth agencies such as the Hillsborough County Children’s Services, IMG Academy, and The Children’s Home Network. Furthermore, Maurice continues performing community outreach through organizations such as the NFLPA- National Football Player’s Association and TBYFL – Tampa Bay Youth Football Organization, mentoring youth. Beginning his professional career as wide receiver in the National Football League, Maurice went on to play a distinguished 7-year career as a wide receiver that included the Detroit Lions, and Jacksonville Jaguars.

Title: Administrative Director

Education and Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree in Women & Gender Studies
Jess, a native Michigander, is excited to bring nearly a decade of professional and volunteer leadership experience to their new home with the Tampa Y. Most recently Jess worked for England’s National Health Service and provided support for multiple departments through their 3+ years living in the UK. While Jess was earning their undergraduate degree in Women & Gender Studies, they discovered their passion for community engagement and served in leadership roles within organizations such as Lions Club International and Amnesty International USA, which they continue to serve today.”

Title: Program Coordinator
Years of experience in childcare: 5+
Education and Credentials: New York State School Age Childcare Credential
Kaden joined the Tampa Y BASE team in April 2023. He began his YMCA career as summer camp counselor, and was promoted to Afterschool Site Supervisor. Kaden continued working in youth development and earned the New York State School-Age Childcare Credential (SAC) in July 2022. The training program promotes high standards of service in youth programs, and the credential established his goals in priorities – ensure children are in a safe and healthy environment whenever they are in his care. Kaden enjoys working with kids and is excited to serve families and support BASE students in Tampa!
