Nick was looking happy this month and was much more willing to make eye-contact with his visitors. Apparently the best way to cheer him up when he’s sad or upset is to give him something to eat – he seems pretty pleased with this snack, anyway…. Sienna can now stand and take a few steps – if she has something to hold on to and feels secure. She likes playing with her sister, Shannon, and misses her when she’s not around. Another of Sienna’s favourite things is crinkling the wrapping on her cereal packet – she loves the sound it makes! Niamh and her dad like watching their neighbours playing chess. A couple of weeks ago the players were packing up after a game and one of the chess pieces was missing – they couldn’t find it anywhere…then Niamh’s dad asked her if she knew where it might be and – ta dah! – she whipped the piece out of her pocket with a flourish!
