EMPOWERING
OTHERS WITH HEART
AND VISION
Melanie Rae Robinson was a woman who carried
light wherever she went. Born on May 31, 1974, in “Nothing can DIM THE
Boston, Massachusetts, Melanie grew up on light THAT shines
Concord Avenue in Cambridge, surrounded by love from within.”
and inspired by a vibrant community. “The Ave”
wasn’t just a place for Melanie—it was a foundation, ― Dr. Maya Angelou
a home that nurtured her creativity, strength, and
curiosity. And even when she moved across the
country to California in 1998 to chase her dreams,
she returned often, keeping her roots close,
grounded in family and lifelong friends.
Melanie’s curiosity for life and love for culture first
blossomed at Shady Hill School in Cambridge. She
thrived in a space that celebrated diversity and
encouraged young minds to explore the world. Later,
she attended Governor Dummer Academy in Byfield
before earning her Bachelor’s degree in Business
Management from Boston University. Her education
shaped her, but it was her spirit that would leave an
imprint on everyone she met.
